Copenhagen trio Farveblind have revealed their new track, ‘Battle Lady-Like’. The track is a collision of huge beats, acidic techno textures and layers of furious punk energy. It’s the result of an attempt to write a jazzy, MF Doom-style mellotron part, which ended up being played against drums inspired by Led Zeppelin’s ‘Immigrant Song’ and brought back to life via the snarling delivery of guest vocalist Jesse Clasen of US duo Foreign Air. “I wanted this song to feel like you picked up a comic book and started reading from the middle of it,” says Jesse. “Intense and packed full of story with little context. I love collaborating because it allows for more experimentation, breaking out of the self-imposed confines of a more long-term project.
